I have used chitosan for almost two years now, mainly for weight loss. It seems foolish to me that anyone would want to even consider taking a prescription drug, with all its side effects, to prevent absorption of fat. Whether you are wanting to loose weight or regulate your bowel, this product is great! I have tried other Chitosan products and have not been happy with the results. This product is the best by far. The mixture of Chitosan and other fibers makes the difference. There are products on the market that cost triple in price but do not give the option of not using pyruvate(which in some people, gives the shakes).
