One of the most valuable spices to Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries, Cloves possessed a weight of a kilogram that was worth more than 7 grams of gold. The only exception was during the 17th and 18th centuries in Britain when, due to the high price of importing this spice, cloves became worth least their weight in gold.

With its sweet, rich spicy aroma evoking a calm energy that can motivate action, Clove Bud Essential Oil is also used in dental preparations as well as a fragrance component in toothpaste, soaps, toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes in addition with the production of printing ink, glue and varnish.

Traditionally used in Chinese medicine for diarrhea, hernia, bad breathm and bronchitis, Clove Bud Essential Oil is beneficial for asthma, acne, arthritis, athlete's foot, bruises, burns, chest infections, toothaches, sprains, strains, cuts, dyspepsia, general exhaustion, colds, flu, ringworm, scabies, mosquito repellent, muscle pain, nausea, muscle pain, mental debility, tired limbs, ulcers and warts.

SUGGESTED USAGE
Diffuse this essential oil with Sweet Orange Essential Oil for an uplifting mood. Just add 5 drops of Clove Bud Essential Oil, 3 drops of Orange Bergamot Essential Oil, and 2 drops of Nutmeg Essential Oil in a lamp ring diffuser for a creativity blend. Simply add 4 drops of Clove Bud Essential Oil, 4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil, and 2 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil for a motivator blend.

For extrenal use only, Clove Bud Essential Oil is highly irritating to the skin so it would be better to avoid contact with your skin. It can cause sensitization in some individuals and should be used in dilution. This essential oil should also be avoided by those who are pregnant, nursing, alcoholics, hemophiliacs, or who are suffering from liver and kidney problems, and are taking any anticoagulants.
