With its pungent scent, Rosemary Essential Oil is often used in toiletries and in the perfume industry; besides being used in perfumes, this oil can be found inmassage oils, soaps, deodorants, shampoos, bath oils, colognes, household sprays and disinfectants.
Rosemary Essential Oil is also applied to treat acne, eczema, oily skin, flu, cellulite, bronchitis, headaches, burns, colds, obesity, dandruff, diarrhea, boost the immune system, fatigue, and nervous exhaustion. Plus, this oil is used to build up one's energy, strengthen up fragile blood vessels, treating muscle pains, lowering the risk of strokes and neurodegenerated diseases (such as Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's), brighten up one's mood in addition to treating any cramps or sprains.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Add 2 to 3 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in some water and boil it to use it as a facial steam and this water could also be used by those who have brunette hair as a hair rinse for the onslaught of graying hair.
If you are studying for an exam or even need to enhance your memory while learning, just add a couple of drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in a diffuser along with a couple of drops of Juniper Berry Essential Oil or Frankincense Essential Oil. Combine 3 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil, 1 drop of Juniper Berry Essential Oil, and ˝ ounce of Almond Oil to add to a nice warm bath, compress, or massage oil.
You can even add a couple of drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in your favorite cream or lotion to improve your blood circulation and clearing your skin or add some drops of this essential oil in your favorite shampoo to act as a general conditioner and tonic to your hair and scalp. While in culinary and therapeutic doses Rosemary (the herb and essential oil) is generally safe, precaution is necessary for those who display any allergic reactions or are prone to epileptic seizures since this oil may have epileptogenic properties.

A woody perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves, Rosemary is a native to the Mediterranean region and it is frequently found growing near the sea, giving this fragrant plant the name “Dew of the Sea”. Extremely high in iron, calcium, and Vitamin B6, Rosemary bears a bitter astringent taste that adds a finishing touch to a wide variety of foods while its fresh and dried leaves are frequently used in Mediterranean cuisines.
Rosemary possesses a very old reputation for improving a person's memory and is often used as a symbol for remembrance during weddings, war commemorations, and funerals in Europe and Australia.
In the Middle Ages, Rosemary was associated with wedding ceremonies where a bride would wear a Rosemary headpiece while her groom and wedding guests would all wear a sprig of Rosemary; from this association alone Rosemary evolved into a love charm. Hungary Water, which was the first European alcohol-based perfume, was prepared for the Queen of Hungary to “renovate the vitality of paralyzed limbs” as well as to treat gout.
