10 quick and easy exercise tips
You know exercise is important, but who has the time, right? Just thinking about adding "one more thing" to your schedule makes you stress. But it doesn't have to be that way. Check out these easy tips for making exercise a permanent part of your lifestyle. 
 
1. See your doctor before starting any new exercise program. It is always beneficial to get physical before starting any new exercise program. You'll learn what you need to work on and what potential challenges you face. And your doctor will undoubtedly cheer you on! 
 
2. Drink water before, during and after exercising. Healthy hydration supports energy levels, increases endurance, prevents cramping and potential injuries and increases fat loss. 
 
3. Make an exercise plan. Decided what you want to do and what days and times mesh with your schedule. Keep your plan realistic so you're not overwhelmed and tempted to backslide. 
 
4. Start slowly. There is no need to rush into an exercise program. The potential to overdo and burn out is very high. Gradually work exercise into your dialy routine, starting with 2 days per week and increasing to 3 days or more in later weeks. 
 
5. Set daily and weekly goals. Long term goals are great, but sometimes it's easy to become discouraged if the ultimate goal looks too far away. Start with attainable daily goals, then stretch to weekly goals. Before you know it, those "baby steps" will take you to your ultimate long-term goal. 
 
6. Reward yourself. Once you meet your weekly goals, reward yourself with a massage, maybe new gym attire or even a new outfit. Then plan rewards for every milestone, such as a month of consistent exercise. 
 
7. Vary your routine. Try a new class at the gym. Walk, run or bike a different route. Work the weight machines in a different order. Mix it up a bit. 
 
8. Challenge yourself. Each week change the intensity or increase the minutes slightly. Do one more set of an exercise. 
 
9. Add active fun to leisure time. Skip one TV show a week and get outside. Go bike riding, swimming or bowling with the family. Join a local basketball, baseball or soccer league. And don't forget those household chores. Yardwork, washing your own car - even walking to "run" errands - burns calories, lowers stress and can reward you with an increased sense of well-being. 
 
10. Never over-exercise! Use common sense about exercising outdoors in extreme temperatures or bad weather. Don't try too much to soon. The key to a successful exercise program is "little and frequent".

I took this product for 2 years I lost 75 lbs when I included an exercise regime. Once you stop your desire for carbs returns and it is not wise to take this forever, nor is it cost effective. When I stopped my exercise and diet routine remained the same but the weight came back and the abdominal fat increased more than pre-Cortislim. You cannot remain on a diet supplement forever. Easy Ways to Keep Moving 24/7 
 
You don't just burn calories working out a gym. Everything you do any time of day can be a calorie burner. It just takes a slight chance in your point of view, and suddenly you'll see plenty of opportunities to work more physical activity and movement into your life at home, the office and at play. To get you started, here are a few of favorite tips. 
 
At Home 
 
It's convenient, comfortable and safe to work out at home. It allows your children to see you being active, which set a good example for them. You can combine exercise with other activities, such as watching TV. If you buy exercise equipment it's a one-time expense and other family members can use it. It's easy to have a short bouts of activity several times a day.
  • Do housework yourself instead of hiring someone else to do it.
  • Work in the garden or mow the grass. Using a riding mower doesn't count! Rake leaves, prune, dig and pick up trash.
  • Go out for a short walk before breakfast, after dinner or both! Start with 5-10 minutes and work up to 30 minutes.
  • Walk or bike to the corner store instead of driving.
  • When walking, pick up the pace from leisurely to brisk. Choose a hilly route. When watching TV, sit up instead of lying on the sofa. Better yet, spend a few minutes pedaling on your stationary bicycle while watching TV. Throw away your video remote control. Instead of asking someone to bring you a drink, get up off the couch and get it yourself.
  • Stand up while talking on the phone.
  • Walk the dog.
  • Park farther away at the shopping mall and walk the extra distance. Wear your walking shoes and sneak in an extra lap or two around the mall.
  • Stretch to reach items in high places and squat or bend to look at items at floor level.

Most of us have sedentary jobs. Works take up a significant part of the day. What can you do to increase your physical activity during the work day?
  • Brainstorm project ideas with a co-worker while taking a walk.
  • Stand while talking on the telephone.
  • Walk down the hall to speak with someone rather than using the telephone.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Or get off a few floors early and take the stairs the rest of the way.
  • Walk while waiting for the plane at the airport.
  • Stay at hotels with fitness centers or swimming pools and use them while on business trips.
  • Take along a jump rope in your suitcase when you travel. Jump and do calisthenics in your hotel room.
  • Participate in or start a recreation league at your company.
  • Form a sports team to raise money for charity events.
  • Join a fitness center or Y near your job. Work out before or after work to avoid rush-hour traffic, or drop by for a noon workout.
  • Schedule exercise time on your business calendar and treat it as any other important appointment.
  • Get off the bus a few blocks early and walk the rest of the way to work or home.
  • Walk around your building for a break during the work day or during lunch.
At Play 
 
Play and recreation are important for good health. Look for opportunities to be active and have fun at the same time.
  • Plan a family outings and vacations that include physical activity (hiking, backpacking, swimming, etc.)
  • See the sights in new cities by walking, jogging or bicycling.
  • Make a date with a friend to enjoy your favorite physical activities. Do them regurlarly.
  • Play your favorite music while exercising, something that motivates you.
  • Dance with someone or by yourself. Take dancing lessons. Hit the dance floor on fast number instead of slow ones.
  • Join a recreational club that emphasizes physical activity.
  • At the beach, sit and watch the waves instread of lying flaw. Better yet, get up and walk, run or fly a kite.
  • When golfing, walk instead of using a cart.
  • Play singles tennis or racquetball instead of doubles.
  • At a picni, join in on badminton instead of croquet.
  • At the lake, rent a rowboat instead of a canoe.
No Gym Required 
 
No time to get to the gym? No Worries! And no excuses. You can begin an effective exercise routine in your own home - without fancy equipment or video tapes. All you need is your body and your house. If you combine the exercises below with the 1200 calorie Daily Meal Plan, you'll see results. Any extra activity added to your normal routine will help increase body mass/muscle tissue and burn calories. 
 
So don't let time, inconvenience, or the fact that you don't feel ready to work out in a room full of strangers stop you from making the most of your time to make less of your waistline. 
 
LEVEL 1 — 2-3 times per week 
 
Couch Squat 10-12 reps: 
1. Begin seated on front edge of couch or chair - be sure knee joint is at 90 degrees and not further past parallel to the floor. 
 
2. Place feet shoulders width apart and stand up. 
 
3. With your eyes facing foward, your lower back in its natural arch, and abdominals tight (this can be achieved by a mild "cough" then continue to hold the abdominals tight, bend your knees while shifting your hips back, as you sit down on the chair. Be sure to position your feet properly so that your knees don't pass in front of your toes as you descend. When your thighs reach a point parallel to the floor, focus on PUSHING WITH YOUR HEELS (not the balls of your feet or toes) through your heels to return to a standing position. DO NOT lock your knees. 
 
Kitchen Counter push up — 10-12 reps  
1. Stand in front of a table or kitchen counter (2 to 3 ft. away). Be sure feet are securely placed. 
 
2. Extend your hands in a straight line from the shoulder to reach the table top. When your lower your upper body to the table top by bending your lower back, your shoulders will ber over your hands. 
 
3. Lower your upper body and push back till you reach the initial position (see 1). 
 
Crunches 10-15 reps 
1. Lie down on the floor with your knees bent, the balls of your feet and heels on the ground. 
 
2. Place your hands on your chest or on your stomach (to feel the abdominals contract). 
 
3. Tighten your abdominal muscles by drawing in your belly button to your spine, flattering your back against the floor. 
 
4. Keeping your heels on the ground, slowly contract your abdominals, bringing your shoulder blades about one or two inches off the floor focusing on the ceiling. Exhale as you come up. 
 
5. Hold the position for a second then slowly bring the torso back to the floor but try keep it slightly off the ground (i.e. try not to "lie" on the floor and relax your head). 
 
6. Jumping jacks 15-30 sec. 
 
Repeat this 2-5 times 
 
LEVEL 2 — 2-3 times per week 
 
Stationary single leg lunge 10-12 reps each leg
 
1. With your chin up and lower back in its natual arch, abdominals tight, bend your front knee and lower yourself into the lunge position. 
 
2. At the bottom, your front knee should be at a 90-degree angle and your back knee should be an inch or so off the floor (don't let it touch down). 
 
3. Rise by driving through your front heel until that leg is straight, but don't lock out the knee, and continue for reps. 
 
4. When you complete your reps with your left leg forward, switch positions and complete the same number of reps with your right leg leading. 
 
Push ups on knees — 10-12 reps 
1. Kneel on the floor - if you have knee problems, please refer to kitchen counter press. 
 
2. Extend your arms to the floor (as mentioned in the kitchen counter press) in a straight line from the shoulder. 
 
3. Lower yourself until first your hands touch the floor, at which time you bend your elbows. 
 
4. Continue to lower your upper body until your chest is 2-3 inches off the floor. (Don't drag your stomach on the floor!) Push yourself back to the initial kneeling position. 
 
Reverse chrunches 10-15 reps 
1. Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the floor. 
 
2. Place your hands on your chest or on your stomach (to feel the abdominals contract) or extend them out flat to your sides - whatever feels most comfortable. 
 
3. Crossing your feet at the ankles, lift your feet off the ground to the point where your knees create a 90-degree angle. 
 
4. Once in this position, press your lower back on the floor as you contract your abdominal muscles. 
 
5. Your hips will slightly rotate and your legs will reach towards the ceiling with each contraction. 
 
6. Exhale as you contract; inhale as you return to the starting position. 
 
Jumping rope 15-30 sec 
 
Repeat this 2-5 times
