LifeTime® brand Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacteria are pure cultures selected from hundreds of viable quality strains. It is hardy and bile resistant. These are friendly bacteria that implant in the digestive tract and promote normal elimination, decrease flatulence, stimulate the body’s defense system and protects against the development and spread of harmful microorganisms.

Friendly bacteria can control pathogenic bacteria in different ways. Friendly bacteria secretions maintain a level of acidity in which dangerous bacteria enzymes become inactive. Also the components of friendly bacteria can monopolize the food supply preventing the growth of other bacteria.
