Traumeel is recommended for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with inflammatory, exudative, and degenerative processes due to acute trauma such as: contusions, lacerations, fractures, sprains, post-operative wounds, etc., repetitive or overuse injuries such as tendinitis, bursitis, epicondylitis, etc., and for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with backache, muscular and sports injury related aches, and the minor pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gouty arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
It is an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-edematous, anti-exudative homepathic combination formulation of 12 botanical and 2 mineral substances.
Traumeel Ointment has an inner protective seal which needs to be opened before usage. There is no outer seal
SUGGESTED USAGE
Adults, Children and Infants: Apply ointment generously to affected areas 2 to 3 times daily, or more often if necessary, by rubbing gently into the skin. If appropriate, mild compression or occlusive bandaging may be applied.
Warnings:
Traumeel should not be administered for pain for more than 10 days for adults or 5 days for children unless directed by a physician. If pain persists or worsens, if new symptoms occur, or if redness or swelling is present, the patient should consult a physician because these could be signs of a serious condition.
Traumeel should not be administered to children for the pain of arthritis unless directed by a physician. In cases of pregnancy or suspected pregnancy, a physician should be consulted before administering traumeel. Traumeel should be administered with caution to nursing mothers.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Traumeel or any of its ingredients. In rare cases, allergic skin reactions may develop. Do not use if inner protective seal under cap is broken. For external use only. Do not apply over large areas of the body, over broken skin, or directlyinto open wounds. If symptoms persist or worsen, or if a rash develops, a physician should be consulted. Store at controlled room temperataure. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children.

Active ingredients: each 100 g of ointment contains: calendula officinalis 1x, hamamelis virginiana 1x, arnica montana, radix 3x 1.50 g each; aconitum napellus 3x, belladonna 3x 1.00 g each; bellis perennis 1x, chamomilla 1x, echinacea angustifolia 1x, echinacea purpurea 1x 0.50 g each; millefolium 1x 0.30 g; hepar sulphuris calcareum 8x 0.25 g; mercurius solubilis 8x 0.12 g; symphytum officinale 4x 0.10 g; hypericum perforatum 6x 0.09 g.
Inactive ingredients: purified water, paraffin, white petrolatum, ethanol, and cetylstearyl alcohol.

 in 1936, Dr. Reckeweg founded a company to produce his medicines. He called the company Heel (an acronym of four Latin words: herba est ex luce or ‘Plants come from light.’ 2). Between 1936 and 1979, he developed over one thousand homeopathic combinations and Heel grew to become the world’s leading producer and marketer of homeopathic combination products, with product distribution throughout the world.
In 1979, with the goal of introducing his combination formulas to the U.S., Dr. Reckeweg relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Soon after his arrival he began formulating homeopathic combination medicines and created a new company, Biological Homeopathic Industries (BHI), to produce and market his products. BHI entered the U.S. market with a line of some 50 newly combined homeopathic preparations, homeopathic publications produced by S.O.H.N.A. Can you take other medications while using Traumeel?
Absolutely. There have been no known indications of drug interactions. We suggest you have both tablets and ointment or gel in your medicine cabinet. (Appropriate for infancy thru adulthood.)
