• Vaginal childbirth permanently stretches the labia minora, decreasing the clitoral stimulation during intercourse. The reduction of clitoral stimulation causes a decrease in sexual responsiveness during intercourse. Extreme tissue damage can be improved only with functionally reconstructive surgery.
• Hormonal Imbalance, caused naturally as a woman matures towards menopause; or caused by synthetic hormone supplementation.
• Medications: Some medications like birth control pills, birth control implants, Antidepressant are known to reduce libido and/or sexual responsiveness in many women.
